Better late than never

Two days ago I travelled over to the north-east again to a small library event at Bowburn, near Durham. It was a small intimate affair with an equally small but appreciative crowd, and again lovely in that the attendees were familiar with my books. It means that the message is spreading and my name is getting out there. What more can I ask? Nothing. But i can thank everyone for spreading the word. Cheers one and all.

...and I'm doing my 'bit' - was processing new library stock this morning and there were a few new p/b copies of DMD so I made sure they were tagged and zapped and straight out on display, PDQ! :-)

It's friends and peers like the two of you that make this such an enjoyable but humbling experience. Thanks. Sniff (wipes away a fond tear).

....yeah....right! ;p

(mind you - I also promote Messrs Kernick, Billingham, James, Child etc.....in fact - I'm often found 'loitering' around the Crime/Thriller section....so, for a small fee, I could 'arrange' for their books to be less prominent....)

(As a side-issue how's your weather up there? It's flipping' flinging' the white stuff down here - and settlin'!! Glad i don't have to be back at work until Saturday!)

Mainly frost at the moment with the occaisional flurry of snow, but everywhere (apart from the high ground) is relatively free of snow now.

Considering Cumbria doesn't normally get snow until March it makes me wonder what Mother nature still has up her voluminous sleeve.
