Dead Men's T.H.R.U.S.H. (don't worry, I've got some cream for that!)

There's a cool little mention for me and good friend Sean Black in Russel Mclean's collumn Back from the Dead at The Big Thrill webzine.
To help you out, it's under the heading Just Like S.P.E.C.T.R.E...or possibly T.H.R.U.S.H. (but that's not referring to our books).

As long as you don't ask me to rub it in for you!

So, are we Butch and Sundance or Cannon and Ball? :)

I was thinking Statler and Waldorf - "That's the worst thing I ever heard!"

Hey Sean, by the way, I thought this article leaned very heavily on the one you posted at the Big Thrill blog. I think you've started a healthy little debate throughout the blogosphere with this one.

Hey Matt

Cheers for the mention of the column. I actually haven't seen Sean's article, so I'll have to check it out, now. The whole Curzon thing fascinates me, mostly because I personally find it quite redundant, so I was fasincated to see their reasoning (which still didn't make sense to me, to be honest). In the end, one thing I think everyone can agree on: Good writing is good writing, regardless of what country it comes from.

Hiya Russel, thanks for getting in touch. I hope you didn't misread my comment, I just meant that Sean had raised an issue that was going to get some good debate and had come to the same conclusions as you did. Apologies that I didn't coose my words better. Like you, I don't think there's a monopoly, and it doesn't really matter who does the writing or where they're from, as long as we enjoy it as readers. Can I just express my thanks for the mention, by the way, as sometimes it's the little mentions like this that peak people's interest to find out more. Maybe they'll now read the interview on the Big Thrill whereas before that they'd have just missed it as being an unfamiliar name. Cheers, Matt.

I think I may have to choose my words better - - wasn't having a grouse at all, just saying I didn't realise Sean had done anything recenly on related topics. Fascinated to see reactions to the group as I'm pretty sure most minded people are thinking: "Have you guys actually read any British thrillers recently?"

Glad to know, of course, that people are reading the column. Any news you have feel free to throw it my way... always looking for stuff for future editions.

Excellent, I'll sure do that. The book comes out in 10 days, so likely I'll have something for you before long.

p.s. I didn't think you were having a grouse, it's just that I thought my words could be misconstrued and wanted to put things right.

Anyway, now that's cleared up, it's great to make your aquaintance - even if only here. :)
