What's in a name?

Yesterday, I returned home to find a package containing some advance copies of my first book from Heyne (Verlagsgruppe Random House Germany) titled Der Knochen Sammler - The Bone Collector -which has been translated from the original DMD by Imke Walsh-Araya (I think) and have to admit to sitting down and having a flick through, even though I speak as much German as I do Klingon, which isn't a lot believe me. I was interested to see how Rink's colourful language translated and just what 'frog-giggin' mutha******s' would look like in the German language.

The book is due on the shelves mid-February.

- do tell! (ha ha!)
Nice for you to have a copy tho'. Well done!
Hope you had a good break away.

Any more word on the release of 'S&B'? Mr H and I are planning a trip 'oop north' - would be good to bag one of your signing sessions!

Haven't found it yet, but I will share when I get to it. Ha ha!

Still no definite date, but I believe it will be April 1st at Waterstone's in Carlisle. Otherwise, I'm doing a number of library events in the north-east, and also Crimefest at Bristol and Harrogate at, uh, Harrogate. I'll add dates to the side bar as I get them in.

Looks like we'd better keep 1st April free then - more likely to call into Carlisle than the other places mentioned - have some more family history to track down, so we might have a couple of days then I can hunt around the records office at the castle! (no millionaires so far, but also no axe-murderers!)

Wonder if they will do a German audio of it, Matt. Could be a fun listen.
Hope to maybe make that April 1st in Carlisle. Is that a definate?

Regards, David.

It's not definite yet, but very likely. That's the day the book hits the shelves, and it's a Thursday (when shops don't mind staying open later). I'll let everyone know when I know for sure...plus it would be great to see you both.
