While Joe Hunter's second adventure launches in hardback in the UK on Thursday 15th October 2009, I will be in America at Bouchercon. Due to this I am going to hold a launch of JUDGEMENT and WRATH the following Thursday, 22nd October in my home town of Carlisle, and I extend the hand of invitation to all my friends and readers to come and join me in celebrating. The event will begin at 6:30 pm at Waterstone's Book Shop, Scotch Street, Carlisle - the same venue where DMD was launched.
Those attending can purchase copies of J&W which I will gladly sign and dedicate. Also keep in mind that Dead Men's Dust will also be available in paperback.
I look forward to a fun event like last time and look forward to seeing you all there.

Oh this is awesome!! Where exactly are you going to be in America? I'm in Michigan so...lol! Hopefully somewhere in Michigan!
Super exciting! Yay!
Unfortunately not. I'll be in Indiana for the Bouchercon World Mystery Conference in Indianapolis. Who knows where I'll pop up next?
It's getting ever closer. Are the nerves and excitement kicking in? are they any different from your debut one or are you more relaxed? Good luck with both the launches!
I think I'm more relaxed at the minute, but who knows how things will be as the big day approaches. Sometimes I think the expectation of book 2 can be worse than the first as there's no drum roll behind it like with the first. Hopefully people will love it as much or even more than the first outing, but I guess readers might be more judgemental now there's something to compare it against. I'm not explaining myself very well, but I think you'll get what I mean.
I get what you're on about, the 2nd Album effect in music.
I'm just looking forward to it in the same way I do with other series' Rankin's, Child's etc with repeat characters, it's like going to a party but you're glad you'll know at least one person there.
Well my £12.99's at the ready so bring it on.
Leeeets geeeet reeeaaady to ruuuuummmmbbbblllleeee!
I'm in Ny, but I've already got a friend of mine ready to buy the second one for me and ship it over. i know it's coming out in the U.S. next year, but who wants to wait six months? lol. I'm sure the second one will be just as good as the first one, Matt.
Excellent, thanks Alan, you're a top bloke. BTW Partners and Crime bookshop in Greenwich Village will probably be stocking my UK editions when they come out, so you can keep up with the releases as they come out over here. I'll probably sign some copies for Maggie Griffin (the manager there) too.
So here we (you!) go again, Matt.
I hope it goes as well if not better than the launch of DMD.
Really looking forward to reading this J&W.
Cheers, Col. Hopefully this time I won't be as awestruck and will enjoy the even as well. last time's just a blur now. I'd like to think that all goes well and there's enough stock brought in this time. Thought there was going to be a stamped for the first 100.
